EXPEDITED LMIA FOR TECH ROLES

Global Talent Stream

Two-week LMIA processing for in-demand tech occupations under Category A (referrals from designated partners) and Category B (Global Talent Occupations List).

The Global Talent Stream (GTS) is the fastest LMIA processing pathway in Canada — typically 2 weeks vs. 8-12 weeks for standard LMIAs. It targets unique-talent and in-demand tech occupations.

Two streams

  • Category A — for innovative employers referred by a designated GTS partner (provincial agencies, scale-up incubators, etc.)
  • Category B — for occupations on the Global Talent Occupations List (software engineers, data scientists, computer engineers, web developers, and others)

The Labour Market Benefits Plan (LMBP)

Every GTS application requires a 1-year commitment to investing in Canadian workers — through training, skills transfer, or job creation. We help employers craft defensible LMBPs that satisfy ESDC.
